Edwardian Scottish Oak Fireplace Surround.
About the Item
A versatile Edwardian Scottish Oak Fireplace Surround displaying a wonderful honey colour. A generous moulded top shelf with a secondary shelf underscore this is shaped to overhang the attractive scalloped tall jambs. The frieze with a raised moulding surrounding the opening, above, an enchanting quarter sawn barrel moulding lends this piece substance, the whole resting on shaped foot blocks.

It’s rare to find these pieces with the original finish, more often than not, they were painted over in by gone years. We feel this piece would be at home-both in a contemporary or a period setting.
