Fine Antique Louis XVI Saint Remy Marble Fireplace Mantle Hand Made in Paris

We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely rare and very collectable, circa 1840-1860 Louis XVI style Saint Remy Marble fireplace. This fireplace is one of three I have purchased, they originate from Paris France, made in Saint Remy marble, there are two large mid-19th century examples and one extra-large 18th century piece. They came from a friend and colleague who specialises in architectural salvage from Chateaus Castles and generally places of distinction in Belgium, France, Switzerland and the surrounding areas The piece has been carefully transported and is in very fine order throughout, it breaks down into four easy to transport and install pieces as you can see in the pictures. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
