About the Item

A fine quality decorative cast iron register grate. The outer frame with adorned with paterae, panelling and beading throughout. The burning area with urn finials, shaped front bars and pierced, fluted fret. English, early 19th century, possibly earlier. Width At Front: 885 mm 34 ⅞" Width At Back: 490 mm 19 ¼" Height: 1030 mm 40 ½" Depth: 330 mm 13"
