George III Style Polished Steel Firegrate

About the Item

A George III style polished steel firegrate. The deep fret nicely pierced and engaved with storks and flower, the wings engraved with swags and ribbons. Engraved urn finials and tapering legs with patera and bell flowers. Decorative shaped back with idyllic scene. English, circa 1860.
