About the Item
A Georgian polished cast iron firegrate. The pierced, serpentine fret surmounted by bowed front bars and flanked by decorative side wings. The tapering legs with classical urn finials above. Plain back behind. Good quality, with a nice patina to iron. English, late 18th/early 19th century.
