About the Item
A carved bleached pine fireplace in the Georgian manner. The break-leg jambs carved with egg-and-tongue moulding and ornate decorative scroll work. The frieze with ogee moulded frieze with carved scrolls and foliage throughout, the centre blocking with carved swags and flowers. The breakfront shelf with dentils and egg-and-tongue throughout, English, 19th century.
