An Irish Regency Period Black Kilkenny Marble Fireplace Mantel. A substantial and superior quality chimneypiece in black Irish Kilkenny marble, early 19th century Regency period fireplace, with detached columns supported on square footblocks, surmounted by square fluted cornerblocks. The frieze with fielded cushion moulding. All beneath a generous plain mantel. A very good example of an early 19th century Irish chimneypiece. All elements are in solid original Kilkenny marble with historical restorations. Restored. Interior Width: 42.38" Interior height: 41.88" Circa 1810
