About the Item
A very good quality late 18th century carved pine English fireplace. The centre panel with carved quiver, foliage and ribbons, with running scrolled foliage and paterae to frieze. Pediment shelf with egg and tongue, ribbon and stiff acanthus leaf mouldings. The jambs with carved egg and tongue with alternate shells. (Photo prior to full restoration)
