Louis XVI Style Noir de Mazy Antique Fireplace
About the Item
A very stately fireplace that is one stroke larger than an average fireplace. This robust copy belongs in a stately mansion or a salon. This is a type of fireplace that will not fit in every home due to its size.
The sculptor has pulled out all the stops for this beautiful piece and the craftsmanship radiates from it.
On the legs, you will find graceful pine cones and French lilies in highly detailed grid engraving. The inner frame and front are luxuriously and richly finished with Rouge Griotte, a Belgian type of marble – cherry red in color – which gives the fireplace a classy finish. This red line is reflected in the marble trim on the top, which consists of three layers of profiled marble.
