About the Item

A period neoclassical style antique pine Georgian fire mantel dating from circa 1780 with a more recent coat of gold paint. This striking surround is handsomely carved throughout, detailed with dentils, a fluted frieze, neoclassical style urns with serpent handles to the central tablet and end blocks above slender reeded jambs. Over 240 years old, this is a relatively small scale fireplace that’ll speak volumes in a 21st century space with its intricate carved details and vibrant gold paint finish.
