Waldorf Astoria Louis XVI French Limestone Mantel Painted
About the Item
The pictured hearth is not included. Louis XVI French Regency style carved limestone mantel that has been painted a pale yellow color. This mantel has a modest design with three carved floral motifs across the apron and carved flutings on the vertical supports. This mantel is stamped Made in France. This mantel was imported from France to decorate the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel of New York City which opened October 1, 1931. It was located in the M Suite on the 13th floor. Waldorf Astoria authenticity card included with your purchase. As this has been disassembled into its various components it will need to be repainted once assembled again. Pictured still installed at the Waldorf Astoria. Please note, this item is located in our Scranton, PA location.
