Mid 20th Century Antique Crane Lead Fountain Center Piece
About the Item
A spectacular antique lead Crane fountain from a famous New Jersey Estate. I believe it was purchased in Italy in the late 1940s early 50s. The Fort Lee mansion was built by mob kingpin Albert Anastasia in 1947. The crane sat in a bronze fountain brought over from Italy and was at the end of his circular driveway. Later the home was purchased by Dell Webb co-owner of the New York Yankees and even comedian Buddy Hackett. The details on the crane are just amazing and would look great in a garden or in the center of a fountain. This is a very special piece with history and beauty. If you search "Albert Anastasia Fort Lee NJ" you can see the fountain setup on the estate.
