American Cast Iron Bench with New Mahogany Wood Slats
About the Item
This late 19th or early 20th century park bench is a beautiful and historic piece of outdoor furniture. The cast iron base, with its original paint, adds character and charm to the bench, while the recently replaced untreated mahogany slats ensure that it is durable and ready for use.
The new mahogany slats will age beautifully over time, gaining a natural patina that will enhance the bench's vintage appeal. They can also be stained or painted if desired, allowing for customization to suit any outdoor decor.
One iron foot on one of the back legs has an old break, but the bench is structurally very sound and ready to be used. This minor damage adds to the bench's unique history and character, making it a true conversation piece in any outdoor space.
