This bench embodies simplicity with its essential and geometric lines, featuring a substantial beam as its seat. The focal point is the material itself: a single block of solid cedar wood, distinguished by its natural color, knots, and most notably, its rich fragrance, crafted with meticulous artisanal techniques.
Wood:
Lebanese cedar, a towering evergreen conifer, reaches heights of up to 40 meters with trunks up to 2.5 meters in diameter. While native to Lebanon and Syria, it's also extensively cultivated in Northern Italy. The wood emits a deeply balsamic scent from its resin, possessing a natural anti-moth property.
Riva 1920 presents a sophisticated collection of entirely natural, hand-finished solid cedar pieces, sourced from fallen trees due to natural occurrences or intentionally felled for safety reasons.
