Wrought Iron Plant Stand with Industria Ceramica Salernitana Ceramic Tiles
About the Item
Charming and well executed three branch wrought iron plant stand, with original ceramic tile insert surfaces. The base is hand wrought iron, the tiles are attributed to ICS ( Industrial Ceramica Salernitana ) possibly by noted Italian ceramicist Guido Gambone ( unsigned ). The plant stand has three surfaces, the side surfaces are lower in height ( 16 in. ) than the center surface ( 22 in. ).The side surfaces are larger ( 8.25 x 8.25 ) than the side surfaces ( 6.25 in ). The plant stand in in very good, original condition, showing only expected cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age and use. Classic Italian melding of playful romantic design with sophisticated artistic skill.
