A fine pair of European terracotta classical figures by Ernst March Söhne of Berlin. The figures depict Demeter holding a cornucopia, the other Diktynna with her fishing net, impressed marks E. MARCH SÖHNE/ CHARLOTTENBURG/ BEI BERLIN. As you can see sections missing, mainly upper arms, fingers etc. But overall of good visual decorative form and colour. Untouched and in very much country house condition. The plinths are not original to the figures but are off period and colour. E.
