A fine 19th century Italian hand-carved Carrara marble pedestal sculpted from luxurious Carrara marble, the choice of sculptors for centuries, it features a tiered twist design, one that was made popular during the Byzantine period, and later adopted by the Venetians, and remaining desirable through today!
The thick, square top and solid marble shaft will support a sufficient weight, especially when combined with the multi-tiered base. All parts are separable which makes it easy to ship and move.
