About the Item
A striking and most elegant pair of Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated and giltwood pedestal columns. Each pedestal is raised by its original concealed casters with an elegant stepped mottled design at the base. Each side displays remarkable recessed panels with the front and sides displaying impressive richly carved swaging berried laurel giltwood garlands framed within a fine beaded border. Above a Les Oves band is the top display tier with a fine mottled border. All original patina throughout.
