This large, antique earthenware olive jar was created in Biot, Provence, Southern France, circa 1760. Made of blond clay and neutral in color, the terracotta vase has a traditional round bulbous shape. The rustic, time-worn pot features a pale mustard glaze around the rolled rim neck, embellished with the original blue tone painted finish throughout the body.
