Monumental Green Willy Guhl Vertical Handkerchief Planter, 1960s Switzerland

About the Item

Stunning concrete planter by Swiss architect Willy Guhl. An iteration of his iconic handkerchief planter but as opposed to the traditional low profile handkerchief with wide leaf-like arms, this planter comes with massive prongs standing erect giving this piece a eye catching height and presence. A magnificent design whose structure makes it resemble the prongs of a crown. Each of the 4 main spires shoot up to an impressive 36" off the ground and are contrasted perfectly by the 4 lower delicate ribbon spouts. 2 planters available in this green paint finish with varying levels of patina and wear as shown. Versatile coloring and impactful presence make these planters a beautiful and elevated addition to any home. Factory drilled drainage holes in the base. Great scale and in good vintage condition. 2 available. Priced individually. Priced individually.
