Pair of Enameled Cast Iron Rouen Urns

About the Item

Near pair of enameled cast iron Rouen urns decorated in blue and red on white colors. Late 19th century enameled urns are relatively large in size and function both outdoors as a planter or indoors as a vase or cache-pot with the addition of a liner. Urns' naturally worn patina is exquisite but not as faded as normally found. Urns vary slightly in size from each other. 1st urn measures 16.63 inches high and 14.25 inches diameter. 2nd urn measures 15.75 inches high and 15.5 inches diameter. Attributed to E. Paris & Cie circa 1870-1899. Sold together and priced $10,500 for the pair. Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Due to regional changes in humidity and climate during shipping, antique wood may shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer may loosen or peel, and painted finishes and gilt may flake and crack.
