Willy Guhl Large 'Diablo' Planters, Switzerland 1960s

About the Item

Iconic vintage 'Diablo' Planters by Swiss neo-functionalist and industrial design pioneer Willy Guhl for Eternit, Switzerland, circa 1970. Made from fibre-cement, these pieces have a beautiful patina to their surface. A classic piece of mid-century design. Intended for use as a planter, it also works as a standalone sculptural piece. Its distinctive fine lines and reinforced cement fiber make it a statement piece that can be enjoyed both indoors and al fresco. Wonderful patina with lichen after spending years outside in the European weather. Wear commensurate with age. Excellent condition as seen in photographs. Can send more photographs upon request. Priced individually.
