Lost Wax Cast Bronze Sculpture Inspired by Auguste Rodin's Eve on Marble Base
About the Item
A lost wax cast bronze sculpture, inspired by Auguste Rodin's Eve in dark patina on black and white veined marble base. This item is available now and this is also a current production. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) which allows for great precision and finesse in the details, this bronze statue is inspired by one of Auguste Rodin's famous sculptures entitled Eve. The sculpture was designed by Rodin to flank, along with Adam, the Gates of Hell. Both characters would have been the witnesses, for eternity, of the repercussions of their sin. Eve's body language reveals indeed remorse and sorrow. She is depicted here with her body twisted, in an expression of intense suffering. Rodin doesn't hold back, her left hand partially hiding her face from the viewer, her right arm wrapped around her naked belly. The ensemble is mounted on a square shaped black and white veined marble base. With its incredible inspiration and lost wax rendition, this contemporary bronze cast of Eve will make for a wonderful decorative addition to any home.
