Salin Foundry Cast Iron Sculpture, Statue of Two Boys Playing Paris France

About the Item

Cast Iron statue of two boys playing by the Salin Foundry in Paris France. The Salin Foundry has a long history dating back to 1806 by the Vivaux brothers. The foundry was taken over by Mr Auguste Salin and became the Salin Foundry in 1875. The Salin Foundry produced large cast iron piece and ornamental mouldings. This statue was purchased in Paris by a antique dealer in the 1980s. It's a great piece, has some rust and fading but overall in good condition.
