Pair of Antique Buff Terracotta Garden Urns

About the Item

A pair of antique buff terracotta garden urns by Doulton & Co. This stunning pair were reclaimed from a property in Suffolk and date back to circa 1880. In a Georgian style, their design is simple yet elegant. The base has a band with smart circles and foliage sprouting from the socle. These large scale urns feature characteristic weathering, and buff terracotta colour, which would look striking as a central element in any garden. Doulton & Co. Doulton & Co. have been pioneers of the pottery and ceramics world for more than 200 years. Better known today as ‘Royal Doulton’, the company was established in 1815 in Lambeth, London. Doulton & Co. were amongst others in designing a huge range of unglazed terracotta and garden ornaments, including these 19th century garden urns.
