German Heraldic Ecclesiastical Antique Leaded Glass

About the Item

A mid 19th century German antique stained glass window depicting an exceptionally detailed and colourful scene with heraldic and ecclesiastical themes. The design centres around a coat of arms to the lower half, possibly of German origin, between two figures, one of which is dressed in armour and carries a flag. Above is a re-telling of the religious story of Adam of Eve. Together, this creates a highly intricate and finely designed stained glass panel with vibrant colours that’ll look impressive in any setting. It is set into a deep box frame which would’ve originally been backlit. Glass without frame: H41 x W39.5 cm (H16.14 x W15.55 inches)
