1900's Hand-Crafted Danish Art Nouveau Lizard ash tray / bowl designed by Axel Jensen in 1905 for P. Ibsens Enke. The art nuveau ash tray / bowl feature a well made lively lizard with a tail that surround the middle of the ash tray / bowl is in excellent condition. Ibsens Enke (1843 - 1955) was a very succesfull manufactorer that especially during the first part of the 1900´s managed to attract several leading names in Danish design who worked for the manufactorer who managed to export their pieces to many countries. Over the years, the manufactorers creations acquired 56 first-class international prizes and are represented in many public institutions among them Neue Pinakothek in Munich, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Los Angeles Museum in California, Cleveland and the Brooklyn Museums, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Les Amis des Musees de la ville de Mons, Brussels, the National Arts Club in New York and the Latvian National History Museum in Riga.
