This is an antique Romanesque bowl. An Italian, bronze Grand Tour dish with Bacchanalian decor, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1860. Fascinating classical detail accentuates this fine Grand Tour bowl Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Quality bronze graced with charming verdigris weathering Relief figures to the fascia of Satyr and Bacchanalian revellers Decorations tastefully redolent of Ancient Roman arts Appealing robust with a weight in the hand of 1.79kg (3.94 lb) This is a charming antique Romanesque bowl, a fine example of Grand Tour decorative ware.
