Exceptional centerpiece bowl decorated in marbled lustre glazes. Its made from faience/ceramic and the color palet burst out in a vibrancy of pink, orange, brown, black, grey and white.     A beautiful and unique hand thrown stoneware bowl / dish, with amazing sang de boeuf glaze. Made by Toini Muona at Arabia, Finland, 1940s. Excellent condition. Incised signature "TM". Toini Muona (1904-1987) was one of the most respected art ceramists and trendsetters in Finnish ceramic art and art industry in the 1930s–1950s. Her artworks represent clean modern reduced forms and motives taken from finnish nature. Toini Muona studied sketch drawing at the Central School of Fine Arts from 1923 to 1926 and postgraduate ceramics from 1926 to 1923. In the meantime, she worked as a textile designer at Atelier Vigli from 1929 to 1931, then moved to the Arabian Art Department, where she worked until 1970. In the same year, he received the Finnish National Award for Industrial Arts. Toini Muona was a skilled wheel-thrower who, especially early in her career, created vases, jars, and objets d'art influenced by old Chinese ceramics...
