Bronze sculptural bowl, 'Tortolina 1'
About the Item
’Tortolina 1’ - a decorative sculptural bowl, hand crafted, moulded and cast in bronze in the lost wax process.
The object is intricately crafted leaving the artist delicately imprints marks on the surface, enhancing the object’s organic texture. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the bronze bowl emulates the appearance of a turtle shell. The multicolour patina is achieved by an alchemic process of heating the bronze in high temperature, resulting in a riveting range of fiery colours on the surface.
There are two bronze bowls in the series; Tortolina 1 and Tortolina 2 which can be purchased as a pair or individually.

Rinat Design is a multi disciplinary Art and Design studio established in London in 2010. The scope of works is wide ranging, from lighting, furniture, decorative objects to art pieces and sculptures. All works are entirely hand crafted in a wide array of materials; Bronze, Stainless steel, Wood, Jesmonite, Resin and also Scagliola, a labour intensive renaissance-era method extensively used at Rinat Design studio for creating one of a kind contemporary pieces. Rinat Design has worked with interior designers, galleries and private clients worldwide. All pieces are custom made to suit any type of project, commercial or residential.
