French Art Deco Style Koi Dish in Pressed Frosted & Clear Glass Signed Lalique

About the Item

This stunning modernist Art Deco style relief glass decorative dish was realized during the 20th century by the legendary French maker Lalique- one of the finest purveyors of glass products on earth since 1888. This piece features a concave center with raised sides in translucent glass replete with an abundance of spherical Murines (representative of whimsical underwater air bubbles). In the center of the dish, a Koi fish rendered in frosted glass lies in a curled position, it's forked tail peaking above the perimeter wall. The stylized fish is executed with precise details, including precisely etched geometric scales and a raised back fin. With its beautiful glass quality- by one of the finest ateliers in history- and timeless design, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition. France, 20th Century Dimensions: Height: 2" Diameter: 6.25"
