Mid-Century Modern Hand Blown Smoked Murano Glass Bowl/Dish

About the Item

This elegant Mid-Century Modern decorative bowl/ dish was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- circa 1970. It features a circular body with elegantly raised sides and a concave center in a sumptuous and translucent smoked Murano glass with murines imbued into the center. There is a scalloped divot on one side with gives the form of this piece a quiet dynamism. While this piece is a perfectly functional dish- ideal for presenting candy and other smaller objects- it's also an objet d'art in its own right that promises to beautify any surface that it graces. It is in excellent vintage condition. Italy, circa 1970 Dimensions: Height: 2" x Diameter: 7.5".
