Murano Clear and Amber Sommerso Glass Geode Bowl Ashtray

About the Item

Geode bowl or dish was hand blown in sommerso technique with amber colored glass encased in layer of clear glass in Murano, Italy. The bowl is not signed; similar bowls in this style were made by several artists, including Archimede Seguso and Gine Cenedese, as shown in multiple online catalogs and printed books, such as Italian Glass: Century 20 and Italian Glass Murano Milan 1930-1970. The bowl is in good vintage condition with light signs of wear that are age appropriate. There's a fleabite on one of the edges.
