"Nude on Horseback Battling Lion, " Footed Art Deco Bowl by Stjärnmetall
About the Item
Brilliantly finished in gold and verdigris, this rare Swedish footed bowl depicts a nude female warrior on horseback spearing a lion, in bold bas relief. The bowl was produced by the Stjärnmetall company in Sweden, probably around 1930. The bowl retains its original glass insert, which protects the surface beautifully.
