BLING BOWL 2 Studio Greytak’s Bling bowl 2 is both tribute and prayer to the gods. Crystal clear spires of quartz draw the light and cast it over a trinity of spiritual amethyst. The spiraling turns of the Australian trumpet shell (Syrinx aruanus) send a silent message of thanks for the abundance represented by an array of barnacles. At the edge, a Brazilian agate bowl, an echo of a piece once thought to be the Holy Grail, opens to the universe. Raw rose quartz, the stone of unconditional love, carries the weight of this spiritual powerhouse. In the stretch of ocean that separates Australia from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia lives a gigantic species of sea snail that inhabits an equally gigantic shell. The Australian trumpet, as it is commonly known, can weigh as much as 40 pounds and its shell can reach up to three feet in length.
