Tratti, piccolo
About the Item
A new and unprecedented synergy between marble and diamond. The magic of a symbiosis. A series of three vases in Carrara marble with very regular geometric inlays - made by Marmi Sacco - in which the surfaces in DiamArt micro diamonds are inserted. And it is precisely here, from these marble quarries, from this nature that expresses strength and magnificence, the origin of masterpieces such as Michelangelo's Pietà , that our dream took shape. The idea immediately fascinated us: those diamonds that were used to carve the marble, to cut it now return to embellish it. Our poetics is born from this hyperbole: Tratti, the name we wanted to give to the collection, are signs of the soul that remain over time. In order to achieve them, many challenges arose to which we responded thanks to the invention of new solutions. They have been a real training ground for ingenuity.

- Vaso Muschi e Licheni PiccoloBy Patricia UrquiolaLocated in Sant'agata De' Goti, BNIn 2020 MADE IN EDIT invites Patricia Urquiola to visit the Istituto a Indirizzo Raro Caselli Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte inside the Real Bosco, discovering its ancient tradition and the cloister where the school's didactic garden was originally located. The students of ceramic art have always used botanical references, taking them directly from plants, which are a primary source of inspiration and exercise. Hence the idea of "greening" this tradition: on one hand by reinventing a new botany of our time and on the other hand by thinking of providing the school with new plants for teaching. Thus the collection "Hybrida" for MADE IN EDIT was born: objects and centerpieces that bring an ancient model...Category
