19th Century French Brass and Champleve Hand Vanity Mirror with Beveled Glass
About the Item
Crafted in France circa 1870, the colorful antique Louis XV hand mirror features elegant and intricate cloisonné decor throughout; it is further dressed with an inset beveled glass. The decorative vanity mirror is in excellent condition with bright and rich colors. Use this mirror in a master bathroom to check your make up or hairdo!
Cloisonné or champleve is an ancient technique for decorating metal or marble objects. In this technique, enamel, glass, or gemstones are separated by strips of flattened wire that are placed on a metal backing.
