Decorative Ceramic Tray by Sylvia Leuchovius for Rörstrand, Sweden

About the Item

Decorative tray by the Swedish artist Sylvia Leuchovius. (1915-2003). Leuchovius was one of Rörstrands most prolific artists for almost 30 years. This tray is a typical example of her work, often influenced by nature featuring flowers and birds. You can sense the inspiration from the Finnish artist Birger Kaipiainen, who she met during his stay at Rörstrand for a couple of years in the late fifties. This item is from the studio range and therefor made in a limited quantity. The tray is beautiful as a centerpiece on a coffee table but as the hanger on the back shows, it is also possible to be hung as a wall decoration.
