Green Bok Choy & Butterfly Famille Verte Round Chinoiserie Trinket Dish or Bowl
About the Item
A brightly colored round ceramic bok choy motif trinket dish. This pretty famille verte chinoiserie dish is round in form and created from crisp white ceramic. The sides of the dish are painted with lush green bok choy or cabbage leaves. Small colorful butterflies in red, blue, and yellow flutter in between the leaves. The center of the dish features a hand painted gold Chinese medallion. The rim of the dish is also painted in the same gold paint. The bottom of the dish is marked in red with "Decorated in Hong Kong". This would be a great piece for a side table, dressing table or coffee table. Use it to hold spare change, keys, candies, or even on a tabletop for dipping sauces. Alternatively, hang it from a wall with other green or verdigris painted chinoiserie pieces.
