About the Item
A very beautiful and substantial Italian 70s Modern/Post-Modern black and white marble ashtray or vide-poche catchall, circa 20th century, 1970s, Italy. Marble measures 1.5" thick. Marble is known as 'Niro' marble, a jet-black marble with white veining. Great as its intended use, an ashtray, and appears to have never been used as one. Also, a great piece to hold jewelry (as demonstrated), coin change, or other small items on a desk, vanity, table, etc. Very good condition as shown in images. No chips noted. Dimensions: 1.5" height x 6.07" square.
