Murano Red Green Stripes Italian Art Glass Thin Decorative Vide Poche Dish Bowl

About the Item

Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown red and green stripes Italian art glass decorative dish, vide-poche bowl. The piece was create in a very thin glass, with alternating pattern of solid red and transparent green bands. You can feel each of the color bands around the piece, since it is not cased in a clear glass layer. It has a pontil mark on the bottom. Created in the manner of the "a Fasce" designs from the Venini company. I am not able to find a signature on the bottom. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Use it as a catchall, candy or ring dish. Mid-century era. Measures 5" across the top x 1 3/4" high.
