19th Century Napoleon III Box with Japanese Decoration

About the Item

Rare quality of execution for this precious Napoleon III period box in rosewood, pewter, brass, copper, bone and mother-of-pearl (burgau and sea-ear). All the sides are decorated with a marquetry of rosewood cubes. The curved lid and the front of the case are richly decorated with fine engraving. The lock works and the key is present.
