A stylish Art Deco bonbon box made of bakelite.
This box for Belgian chocolat dates circa 1920s.
It's a chocolate storage box or chocolate gift box with beautiful flamed pattern in the colors very dark brown - black with red - orange brown.
This round bakelite box for Martougin Chocolat has a lid with the Minerva Godess on top.
The bakelite is still in very beautiful condition, no damages, cracks or chips and the bakelite has still a beautiful gloss.
As you can see on the pictures at the end, we do have a second one - in brown bakelite. The brown one is also listed, so do view all our listings - all from this dealer.
Alfred Martougin was a Chocolate Factory in Antwerp Belgium from 1907-1966.
Minerva is also known as the famous Antwerp factory, known worldwide for the stunning luxury Minerva car. The hood ornament was also based on the Roman Goddess Minerva.
