About the Item
A lovely Chinese turquoise cloisonne trinket box with images of the Hundred Antiques, Republic Period, circa 1920, China.
The rectangular box decorated with a field of quatrefoils of lapis blue cloisonne against a turquoise blue cloisonne ground. The hinged lid of the box features a large quatrefoil reserve decorated with images of the Hundred Antiques in stable pastel enamels of white, pink, red, yellow, green and blue, all against a black enamel ground. The images include an incense burner and incense tools, and various plants and fruits.
The interior and underside of the box of simple bright turquoise blue enamel. The rims of copper.
