English Rosewood Fitted Dressing Box
About the Item
English rosewood fitted dressing box, the top is angled up on all four sides, top features an octagonal ebony center piece with tapering ebony inlays coming down from each corner. an interesting dentil molding is below . All sides have vertical rosewood veneer with multiple moldings stepping down to the bottom; keyhole insert is mother of pearl. The interior is open in the front , the back portion has a fitted compartment that is removable (see photo) , inside the top is fitted with dark felt (as is). This unique box is in very good condition
