Iron Lock Box Safe Side Table, Denmark circa 1860-80

About the Item

Impressive when seen in person, this iron lock box has incredible "presence" due to the faded painted borders, heavy iron handles and decorative medallion that hides the key hole. The top center has a hinged covered lock with large key used to release the interior locking function. The faux wood interior is painted on metal. While fascinating on its own, this lock box will serve as a highly unique side table as well. The aged patina of the iron show distress/wear/nicks which merely add to the authentic vintage appearance of this safe that has been used for generations. Lock functions. Any scratches, dings, or age related pits to iron are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lock box. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
