Italian Vintage Tin Box decorated with an aphorism about love of B. Auerbach

About the Item

Vintage round tin box dating back to the 50s and 60s. We don't know what it originally contained but I imagine it containing a ring for an unrepeatable marriage proposal. The phrase silk-screened on the cap reads in Italian an aphorism about love which is attributed to the German poet of Jewish origins Moses Baruch Auerbacher. The phrase on the golden aluminum box reads "The love that could die was not love", it speaks of infinite love, which can change shape, but without ever dying. On the back of the box there is no name of the manufacturing company but the "MILANO" brand is imprinted The box is in good vintage condition, with signs of use and age consistent with its age. Reach out for any additional questions.
