This stunning modernist decorative box was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features a volumetric rectangular body with a translucent Murano glass exterior and an onyx glass interior imbued with a wealth of 24kt gold flecks. The lips of the box- where the top and bottom- adjoin are finished with a rectilinear brass border which perfectly compliments the tonality of the gold and testifies to the fact that no detail (no matter how minute) was overlooked in their fastidious construction.
