Maches Mexican Brutalist Bronze Slanted Dresser Box
About the Item
A fine Brutalist dresser box.
With embossed lines around the circumference and a slanted body.
In the style of Pal Kepenyes.
The lid is decorated with a bowl-like shape containing 10 small poles terminating in balls, and a cup-like shape with a stone.
The box is supported by 5 legs with ball feet.
Simply a wonderful, whimsical Modernist box!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
At least two of the legs appear to have been resautered, and both the base and one of the resautered legs have some oxidation. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Marked to the base with a Maches maker's mark.
