Musical Clock with pin wheel ecapement and fusee wound musical mechanism
About the Item
Clock with early sectional comb fusee wound musical movement.
Musical mechanism of the very early type with sectional comb. 29 sections of 4 teeth each. Speed regulator to the left of the mechanism. Allthough the diameter of the cylinder is only 3,4cm the tunes last for over 1 min. Fully wound it will play 26 tunes.
Musical mechanism is started by the clock every hour (1,5 min befor the hour strikes) or on demand..
Clock with pin wheel escapement, striking on the hour (full) and half hour.
Base and clock with mahogony veneer.

VERY very rare, decorative and valuable piece!!!

The mechanisme has proffessionlly been restored to the original condition making this one sure to be enjoyed for another 100years. Our workshop is specialiced in music boxes and automatons.
